A Barca do Sol’s 3rd Lp Pirate relaunched. Now on digital platforms
Pirata was the 3rd and last LP of A Barca do Sol. We recorded in May / June 1979 at Studios Vice-Versa (SP) with technicians Ricardo Franjinha and Nani Viola. It was never reissued. As of today it is available on all digital platforms. Pirata was produced by A Barca do Sol and co-produced by the late friend Afonso Carlos Costa, in the first crop of independent records in Brazil. The cover was made by Jejo Cornelsen, digitalized by Lets Leao, the album was mastered at Navegantes studio by Barca bass player Alain Pierre Magalhães. We thank Cris Maluli and Guto Ruocco / Circus Produções Culturais & Fonográfica for their super work. The formation of this LP is: Alain Pierre (bass), Beto Rezende (guitars), David Ganc (flutes), Marcelo Costa (drums and percussion), Muri Costa (voice, guitar, piano and percussion) and Nando Carneiro (voice, guitar and pianos). Jaques Morelenbaum is present on the LP in partnership with Nando Carneiro: “Jando”. This release has as bonus track, the live recording of the song “Sonhar” by Alain Pierre.
