They will present music of the book “Choro Duets – Pixinguinha and Benedito Lacerda Vol.2”, released in 2011, with play-a-long CD, containing for the first time the counterpoints played by Pixinguinha, brazilian choro master, transcribed by the authors. Published by Irmãos Vitale, the book has scores in C, Bb e Eb, so is suitable for all combination of instruments (melody and counterpoint).

A brainchild of flutist DAVID GANC, this concert and CD pays tribute to the greatest composer of Brazilian popular music: Antônio Carlos Jobim. In 2005, they were nominated for a TIM Prize in the category of Best Instrumental Group.
Ganc wrote the arrangements and the renowned Guerra-Peixe string quartet contributes its traditional classical style. Add Mingo Araújo on percussion and you have a swinging blend of popular Brazilian music and classical sound.
