10\/18th\/2012 Release<\/span><\/span> of books<\/span> \/<\/span> CD<\/span> Duets<\/span> Choro<\/span> Pixinguinha<\/span> and<\/span> Benedito Lacerda<\/span> The International<\/span><\/span> Saxophone<\/span> is<\/span> a biennial event<\/span> basically composed of<\/span> artistic and<\/span> pedagogical<\/span> activities<\/span>. Artistic activities<\/span> are<\/span> concerts<\/span>, shows, concerts<\/span>, exhibitions<\/span>, where you can see<\/span> many<\/span> saxophonists<\/span> playing<\/span> songs from various<\/span> musical styles<\/span> and exploring<\/span> the musical diversity<\/span> of the saxophone.<\/span> The<\/span> educational activities<\/span> are<\/span> workshops<\/span>, lectures and<\/span> masterclasses<\/span>. In<\/span> workshops<\/span> and lectures<\/span> saxophonists<\/span> invited<\/span> address<\/span>, in front of<\/span> the entire group of<\/span> participants<\/span>, topics of interest<\/span> and utility<\/span> to any<\/span> saxophonist<\/span>, no matter<\/span> the<\/span> technical level<\/span> that is<\/span> their training<\/span>. In<\/span> masterclasses<\/span> one participant who<\/span> signed up as<\/span> “<\/span>attendee<\/span> performer<\/span>” performs<\/span> excerpts from<\/span> works of the<\/span> repertoire<\/span> of the saxophone<\/span> while<\/span> guest<\/span> saxophonist<\/span> discusses<\/span> his performance in<\/span> front of the<\/span> large group of<\/span> participants<\/span>, like a<\/span> big<\/span> open class<\/span>. To participate<\/span> you need not be<\/span> professional or<\/span> advanced student<\/span>. There is also no<\/span> age restrictions<\/span>.
